A nice piece of crested ware by an unknown maker since it is unmarked, dating from the early 20th century. The piece is in the form of a whelk shell a sea shell commonly found on British beaches. Inscribed to the rim of the opening is 'Listen to the sea'. The Heraldic arms is for Bridlington.
The piece measures approximately 9cm long.
In very good condition with no chips or cracks. There is a small flaw but it doesn't detract from it in anyway in my opinion. It would benefit from a clean.
